Close enough to the Thunderpath that you can hear the monsters roaring along there is a small opening in the ground which is marked by three rocks stacked on top of each other. Back when the first cats settled in the territory, a group of them were hunting when they ran over an uneven piece of ground. The ground gave out beneath them and sent the four warriors falling to their deaths. This was when the abandoned mines were first discovered. The opening is so small that cats have to crawl inside and once in it is very dark and dusty, wooden supports holding the ground above and the walls either side up. It is a long and winding system of tunnels where it is easy to get lost. Apprentices trials are held here.

One night there was an unusually fierce thunderstorm, lightning flashing through the sky and thunder booming overhead. The lightning, searching for its next target struck down upon the tallest tree in the forest, a thick trunked towering spruce. It is said that the tree fought back against the lightning and instead of collapsing, a rift surged through the wood causing a large split to form down the center of the tree. Streamclan cats believe that this place is cursed, struck down by their ancestors, however it is also one of the best places to catch prey. Only the bravest of warriors venture into these parts.

In the north, close to High Hills lies a small pool of shallow water. Coming down into the pool is water trickling from three collections of smooth rocks. The water combined with the smoothness makes these slippery and is a popular place for kits, apprentices and warriors alike to have some fun sliding down them into the pool. They are also used for training sessions to build up an apprentice's leg muscles.

To the west, there is a grove, a blanket of mist always draped across the ground. It is oddly quiet, it seeming as though not even the noise of the wind reaches this part. Cats among the first that settled here soon discovered that if they waited for the day to approach evening, fireflies would emerge from the tall grasses, flying around and lighting up. Since then it has become a popular place for romance to occur or simply for cats to relax.
