Amberdusk The day was just beginning. The cool caressing of the day's winds, swept through LakeClan's camp, fluttering over the large lake's surface disturbing the top of the water's edge ever so slightly. Amberdusk sat stationed by the lake's edge, staring off into the distance but at nothing in particular. A fish he had caught a mere few moments before, lay flapping carelessly at his side. A single paw shooting down to thump the creature back to the ground heavily was the only thing that kept the fish from leaping back into the water. Otherwise, the cream and yellowed tom was mostly distracted from everything else around him.
Moonmask....
He winced at the very mention of her name, and felt a loud sigh escape his maw in response. He had been thinking more and more about her for several moons now and as try as he could, his mind wouldn't allow him to think about anything else. Even when he closed his eyes at night, even now, he could see her vibrant and beautifully colored, light green eyes. Sparking with such ferocity and warmth. Another sigh fell from him, before he figured that he was hungry enough to push away his thoughts away from his one true love and towards his fish. He leaned down and took a big bite out of his fish, silencing any more struggles of his prey, before pulling up to swallow. The food settled uncomfortably in the pit of his stomach and while he loved the taste of fish...today while it was filling and helped his hunger, it certainly wasn't doing much for him. If only he could have had the courage to actually stroll up to her and say...and say...
"And say nothing..." He muttered this loudly and rather sourly. It was no secret that he was a coward and it wasn't like he hid it well. Another sigh, before he went back to eating his fish in silence.

Moonmask 🌑 She-Cat 🌑 Lakeclan "We all can have regrets, but it is up to you if you want to remedy them" Padding into camp with a couple of rabbit's dangling from her mouth, carrying them by the ears, Moonmask took a deep breath as she returned from a successful hunt. Despite her best efforts, Ravenclaw still held a great resentment towards her. Rightfully so, still she wished he could learn to forgive her for her moment of weakness.
Heading to the fresh-kill pile, she dropped the rabbits upon it before her ears perked. A familiar scent brushing her nose that caused her heart to flutter. Face grimacing as she couldn't help but turn her light green eyes to the source of it. Feeling her heart tightening at the familiar sight of a yellow colored tom. The small form lying by the water with a fish.
Amberdusk.
Even now, as so many moons have passed, they haven't really spoken with one another. How could they? After she had gone to mate with another tom? Had kits? Yet despite their more distant relationship, she couldn't help but think about him whenever her thoughts didn't ponder over her own kits. The black and white she-cat missed his companionship, his comfort, his warmth. Why was it so hard to reconnect with cats? It took moons for her to try to even reconnect with her own kits.
Giving a soft sigh, she glanced away for a moment as she tried to recollect her thoughts. Mind drifting to Rowanash. Father of her kits, the tom she didn't love. Would he be upset if she tried reconnecting with her kithood sweetheart? Why should she care?
Claws unsheathing and digging into the dirt beneath her, she put together all of her confidence and picked up one of the rabbits she hunted and slowly padded toward the small tom. Carefully, she moved beside him and plopped the rabbit down with a small thud.
"....Amberdusk." Moonmask started as she tried to show the utmost confidence and calmness, even if she felt nerves tingle through her body.
"....May I join you?" She asked politely, light green eyes glancing away briefly. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0
