Lightstar ✵ She-cat ✵ Streamclan
"A wise leaer knows that there is something to be learned from everyone." The dim light of the moon began to fade as the morning approached. Lightstar always enjoyed her morning routine, even in her older years she woke just before the sun began to rise, it's grand rays lighting up the sky in a beautiful variety of colors. She lay just outside the leader's den entrance. She waited every morning on the rock for assistance from either a warrior or the other leader, Morningstar, to help her down the rock face. Sometimes one of her daughter's kits helped her, Sparrowfeather more often than Emberflight.
They were both darling kits to her, she loved both of them and was so proud. Though she felt that way about a lot of the cats in Streamclan. She watched most of them grow up, being one of the oldest cats in any of the clans. The sun began to peek over the horizon, lighting up the sky in a variety of colors. It was beautiful, there were so many beautiful things in this world and Lightstar enjoyed experiencing as many as she could.

Morningstar ✬ She-Cat ✬ Streamclan
"Just as the river flows and fire burns, true loyal warriors follow the code." Today was another day amongst Streamclan, and like the sun, Morningstar rose along with it. The young leader looked over her clan before her green eyes flicked toward Streamclan's older leader. Pink nose twitching, the ginger and white she-cat padded over to the older she-cat. Honestly, Lightstar should probably retire to the Elder's Den to live the rest of her days in comfort. Still, for now, Morningstar would let it slide. The old leader served her clan well, even perhaps she was a little too soft.
"Good morning Lightstar." Morningstar greeted politely, her voice crisp, crystal clear. So outright, a part of which made the young leader a little intimidating. Even when she was only greeting some cat.

"A wise leader knows that there is something to be learned from everyone." She turned her head to greet Morningstar. "Good morning, Morningstar." Her voice was a little raspy still from her previous encounter with greencough. The other she-cat's voice not bothering the elder cat. She had known Morningstar since she was a little kit. Although very strict, she would make a good leader.
"That would be lovely, deary. Thank you." She stood to her paws, her small, lithe frame rising off the stone. She stretched out her body and leaned against the larger she-cat. "Would you like to have breakfast together before you get too busy with duties? Sparrowfeather has probably already started on his." She said with a soft sigh. Sparrowfeather had taken on most of her duties as well as already having his own, he has been so busy recently they hadn't spent much time together. |

"Just as the river flows and fire burns, true loyal warriors follow the code." Nodding, the fluffier she-cat pressed her body against the elder feline, allowing the fellow leader to lean against her for support. Climbing down from the rock face, Morningstar prepared to catch Lightstar should she slipped. Once safely on solid ground, the ginger she-cat looked to Lightstar at the offer. Pondering for a moment, listing off the daily duties in her mind, she decided that she could squeeze some time to spend breakfast with the elder leader. After all, it was the duty of the younger cat to take care of a well seasoned older cat. Plus, surely Lightstar got a bit bored just being in camp all the time.
"Alright, I can spare some time. Breakfast is important and friendly company does not hurt." Morningstar mewed, padding over to the fresh kill pile, picking out a couple of mice by the tails and returning to Lightstar in a brisk trot.
Setting the prey down and lying down, ears twitching she took a breath and glanced up at the brightening sky. "Seems it'll be another lovely day." she mused. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0 |

"A wise leader knows that there is something to be learned from everyone." The elder she-cat leaned against Morningstar as they climbed down the rock face. She slipped a little but Morningstar was prepared and helped her regain her balance. She smiled happily as Morningstar accepted her offer. "I always welcome friendly company." She sat down, watching as Morningstar got them each a meal and returned.
She lay down as Morningstar set down the mice, looking up at the sky as well. "It is quite lovely. Hopefully the nice weather will last for the gathering. This will be your first one as a leader, I hope everything goes well." She was a bit anxious about not being able to attend, though she had faith things would work themselves out. |

"Just as the river flows and fire burns, true loyal warriors follow the code." Ah yes, the gathering. It was one of the many things that clung to the ginger she-cat's mind. The other leaders were rumored to also be young and new. What would they be like? Hostile? Incompetent? Suppose she would have to do her best to make a good impression as a powerful leader for Streamclan. It was a shame Lightstar was now unable to attend. One of the reasons Morningstar thought it was time for the leader to retire, but she supposed if they at least had one leader representing the clan, it would be fine. Sparrowfeather would be there to take her place as well, in a sense him already taking over a leader's responsibilities.
"Indeed, it would be a shame if we had newleaf rain amongst the gathering. But things have been growing warmer as time reaches closer to greenleaf. I'm confident everything will turn out well. If the other clan leaders get a bit too kittish, I'll remind them how to properly behave at a Gathering." Morningstar mewed with a soft twitch of her whiskers. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0 |
