{ "What is the point in being a King if you can't get along with those that follow you?" A new season, a new day, and another peaceful air was among the great mountain. Which was good, since leafbare had already taken quite a few lives. Surely, Creator Silence had dragged away the souls of many cats and guided them to Starclan. Despite the natural passage of life, it was still a sad time and it still made the young tom frown to himself privatively. Creator Silence had taken his mother this leafbare, and had surely guided her to the paws of Creator Star.
Funny enough, it had seemed Silence had hit Lakeclan as well. Not too long after Silverstar's passing, did the newly named king of Lakeclan paid the mountains a visit. Journeying the harsh snow in order to earn his nine lives. Silence had taken Ashstar, leaving his son Graystar to take the lead. Almost freezing to death sure, but it wasn't the best of timing. Of course, Blizzardstar, king of the mountain and of the great Summitclan, offered his help. It was a time of peace, and he wanted to continue what his mother had left them. Plus, no need to stop a journeying cat to the Moon Crystal. It was a insult to the Creators themselves if he would of done such a thing.
Opening his blue eyes, the massive tom yawned as he stretched out from inside the leader's den. Nose twitching as it brushed against the moss that lined his nest. Even now, he could still smell the faint scent of his mother Silverstar. Shaking his head, Blizzardstar rose from his nest and shambled out of the den. Padding along to the Sunning Ledge and taking a seat at the edge to look over the clan down below.
The black and silver tom blinked slowly as he wondered where his adoptive daughter was. Probably leading a patrol or something. She was quite the serious young cat. Honestly she probably would of been a good Queen, though her lack of words often hindered that thought. Giving a soft sigh, he continued to watch his clanmates silently from his perch on the Sunning Ledge. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." Owlgaze had been in the patrol that had found the half frozen Graystar, obviously their new leader, Blizzardstar had decided to help the small tom. Ever since, Owlgaze pondered on how such a weak cat could be a good leader, though he was looking forward to seeing how these two new leaders would interact at the gathering.
His mind kept wandering as the morning sun peeked through the warrior's den. He blinked a few times and stood to his paws, walking out of the den he noticed Blizzardstar up on the Sunning Ledge. Alone again today? He thought as he strode towards where his leader was perched. Perhaps he would join Blizzardstar today. He hadn't had the chance to get to know his leader well, even though they were only a few moons apart in age. He made his way over to Sunning Ledge, and with a few graceful leaps, he stood atop the ledge.
He walked towards his leader, sitting down near the large, fluffy tom. "Good morning, Blizzardstar."

{ "What is the point in being a King if you can't get along with those that follow you?" His thoughts were soon enough interrupted as a voice spoke up. Blizzardstar perked his ears and looked toward where it came from to see a mackerel tabby whom took a place beside him. Owlgaze he believed. They haven't interacted much, but as heir to the throne of the mountain, his mother made it her duty to make sure he kept in mind of every cat in the clan. The massive leader full of fluff looked toward the short haired cat and gave a nonchalant grin.
"Well good morning Owlgaze! How are you this fine morning?" Blizzardstar mewed in a chipper tone, ice blue eyes brightening with friendliness. Despite how intimidating his large appearance with the added fact he was now the King of the Mountain, the black and silver tom was still quite easy-going and laid back. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." Hey gave the King of the Mountain a cheerful smile and looked out over the clan. "I'm doing well, thank you for asking." He said in a lax tone. He was also a large cat, so the leader's size did not bother him. Though the other tom appeared larger because of his fluffy fur.
He sat for a moment as he looked around camp, everything was normal and peaceful. This was nice. Despite his appearance large and muscular, he rather disliked fighting. He would be happy if the peace was maintained. "How are you, Blizzardstar?" He asked after his moment of thought.

Blizzardstar ✬ Tom ✬ Summitclan "What is the point in being a King if you don't understand those who follow you?" Watching over the clan as cats shared tongues, chatted, and perhaps play a little, the fluffy tom turned his icy gaze to Owlgaze and gave a soft chuckle. His voice rumbling like thunder as the amused leader gave a wide grin.
"Oh pretty well if I do say so myself. Perhaps a little bored however. Everything has been quite peaceful, however everyone is working quite hard. Graycloud has hardly spoken to me in the passed couple of moons." Blizzardstar mewed with a soft sigh before perking up and giving a wide cheerful grin.
"Awe yes! Perhaps a nice little patrol will do some good. Feels a bit dull just sitting around camp all day. Would you like to join me Owlgaze? I'm sure we will have quite a blast!" The large black and silver tom offered with a cheery purr. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." "I'm glad you are doing well." The tom had been a bit concerned about the new leader. He was worried the stress of leading a clan might be overwhelming to the happy-go-lucky tom, but that did not seem to be the case at all. With a soft sigh of relief the tom stood to his paws. "A patrol sounds like a splendid idea, where would you like to go?" He said, curiously.
Perhaps checking the border with a clan? Or around the mountain? Larger predators were known to live on the mountain overshadowing the clan's camp, they surely wouldn't want one of those invading the territory.

Blizzardstar ✬ Tom ✬ Summitclan "What is the point in being a King if you don't understand those who follow you?" Pondering for a moment, the large leader ears flicked a little. "Let us check near the mountain. Some of the hunters have reported that something has smelled odd around there." Blizzardstar answered before getting up on his paws. Stretching out his large fluffy body before neatly climbing down from the Sunning Ledge and trotted toward the entrance to exit the camp.
Briefly nodding to passing warriors and giving a cheerful hello as some bowed their heads in respect. Although it was normal, since he's been given the royal treatment since he could remember, it still felt odd somehow. Especially now that has moved from Prince of Summitclan, to King of the Mountain. Weird to have every word listened to.
Silverstar had been much better at this, he couldn't help wonder how she did it?
Shaking his head from the thoughts of the previous Queen, he turned his icy blue gaze to his companion. "What do you like most of Summitclan, Owlgaze?" Blizzardstar asked casually with a curious friendly purr. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." The large tabby climbed down after the Blizzardstar. Silently walking as others showed respect to their leader. As they headed out of camp, Blizzardstar asked him about his opinion. What did he like best about the clan? There were many good things, their beliefs, the territory, the royal family. "I would have to say the way the clan is governed. We have a royal family just like Lakeclan, but unlike them, our leader shares more power with the deputy and medicine cat. I believe we will remain strong because of the shared power, instead of one cat solely making decisions."
He gave Blizzardstar a genuine smile as he padded forward. "We have some nice looking toms, it is nice to see some handsome faces every day." He said in a half-joking, half-honest tone. He turned his head away from Blizzardstar as they walked further in the territory, keeping an open eye for anything suspicious.

Blizzardstar ✬ Tom ✬ Summitclan "What is the point in being a King if you don't understand those who follow you?" The King of the Mountain gave a amused laugh as the short haired tom's comment about some handsome tom. "Mhmm I suppose I would have to agree. We do have some good looking cats around here as I have observed. Must be all that rock climbing. Helps get us out of any rocky situations." he mewed jokingly with a gleeful smirk. Padding along the rocky terrain, his large paws moving and climbing along rocks when needed with ease and expertise.
Used to it, Blizzardstar opened his mouth to taste the air as the drew closer to Creator Mountain. Ear flicking as he took a deep breath and purred.
"Personally, I quite enjoy the fresh air. Always seems clear up here. I feel a little stuffy whenever we go to a Gathering." The large black and silver tom mewed, pondering how other clans handled without the things the Mountains had to offer. Sure, there were dangers, but the stone held protection as well. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." Owlgaze was slightly amused by his leader's joke, simply rolling his eyes at the tom. He continued to follow Blizzardstar as they drew closer to Creator Mountain. He made a good point. The air was so much fresher up here, far away from the twolegs and their monsters. "I'd have to agree with you on that, the closer we get to that twoleg place, the nastier the air gets." He padded along, thankful they were nowhere near the twolegs or their monsters.
He kept his eyes open as they approached the mountain. Could it be a group of outsiders that was stealing prey from Summitclan's territory. That would be the simplest thing to deal with. The large Summitclan cats would be able to chase off a measly group of loners and rogues fairly easily. He only hoped that was all it was.

Blizzardstar ✬ Tom ✬ Summitclan "What is the point in being a King if you don't understand those who follow you?" Nose twitching in distaste at the mention of the twoleg place, the King of the Mountain nodded in agreement at just the thought of them. "Indeed, I don't know how Lakeclan and Streamclan can stand being near that thunderpath. Only seen it once, and it was one visit I hope to remain the last. It's smelly, noisy, and full of monsters." Blizzardstar mewed before opening his mouth to taste the air. Refraining from imagining how a mouthful of thunderpath scent would taste like.
Blood.
Ears flattening, the large fluffy king flicked his tail as he used his massive paws to climb along the rocks. Climbing over a rock, his ears perked as he spotted splatters of blood and feathers. Nose twitching, he climbed down to examine the scene. Smelled like a hawk. Leftover claw marks scratched into the stone. Fairly large. Tilting his head, Blizzardstar sniffed the scene. It smelled like blood, and the mountain. A odd scent lingering but he couldn't pinpoint it.
"Mhmm seems our mysterious culprit has striked again." Blizzardstar murmured, trying to think on who or what could of caused this. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." He followed Blizzardstar, climbing after him. He stared in awe at the size of the claw marks they found. "Blizzardstar, what could possibly make claw marks that big?" He had never seen anything like it before, to kill a hawk so easily, and alone at that. This predator was much larger than any cat he has ever seen. "I don't think we are dealing with just any intruder. Though I don't know what it is either."
His eyes narrowed as he looked around them. No sign of the intruder lingering here. He was curious to find where it was hiding and what it was, though that might not be the best idea with just the two of them. Whatever it was, it was very strong. "Blizzardstar, what should we do?" Ultimately it was up to the leader to decide what their course of action should be.

Blizzardstar ✬ Tom ✬ Summitclan "What is the point in being a King if you don't understand those who follow you?" Blizzardstar looked thoughtfully at the claw marks, brushing his left paw over the large marks. Indeed, this was concerning. Never once had he seen claws this big before. It seemed these were even bigger than a badger's claws. Whatever it was, it caused quite a bit of concern.
"I am not sure. It's too big to be a badger and that's the biggest thing I really know that have claws sharp enough for this." The Mountain King murmured, ears flicking at the question for direction. What should they do? He wasn't sure.
Thanks to the harsh leafbare, he couldn't find council with the Medicine Cat or Deputy like his mother would, so he was on his own. He could discuss with the clan but he didn't want to cause panic. Perhaps he should speak to Rainpool over this? She might know what to do. It seemed unwise to currently go looking for it with only two cats anyways. Although it would be nice to find the hideout.
Perhaps he could send Ravenwhisper and Stonepaw to scout it out? They were the best at stealth after all and it might be the better choice. Going headstrong into something might not go well. They had no idea what they were up against and that worried him.
"Mhm, for now, let's head back. It's too risky to go looking for it with just us two. I'll have to discuss this with Rainpool and perhaps some other cats. Might send Ravenwhisper and Stonepaw to scout it out. I don't know. I have a bad feeling about this." Blizzardstar mewed, his large paws unsheathing and sheathing anxiously as he tried to think over while also trying his best to remain calm and composed and still at least seem confident and cheerful.
He had to be. He didn't want to worry anyone and was the king now. If he started to worry, his clan would start to worry. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

"You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously." He nodded to Blizzardstar. "That sounds like a wise decision. Ravenwhisper, she's the stealthiest cat in the clan. I'm not sure about sending Stonepaw. It might be too dangerous for an apprentice, especially since we don't know what we are dealing with. Sending Ravenwhisper by herself could be risky as well. She's not the best fighter, but she is rational. She wouldn't fight an enemy she wouldn't win against." He didn't know the she-cat that well, though they had a few patrols together...not much of a talker.
His attention was drawn to Blizzardstar's obvious anxiety, though the tom tried to hide it. This problem would be unnerving for any cat, Owlgaze understood why he was anxious. The tom gently bumped into Blizzardstar, laying his tail gingerly on his shoulder to comfort him. "It will be alright Blizzardstar. The creators are with us, will we figure this out. Your clan is with you as well, we may be smaller than this enemy, but our numbers are greater. We will find a way." Despite his steady tone, he was anxious as well. Would everything really be alright?

Heronpaw - Apprentice of Summitclan
Heronpaw had spent most of the patrol in silence. He would have liked to say something clever, to make a good impression in front of his mentor and his king, to prove himself. But the opportunity hadn't really arisen and frankly, he was a little intimidated in the presence of the large Blizzardstar. So he had stayed relatively silent, staying close at his mentor's side and just listening. He had found that listening often times was a very useful thing, just as important as practicing fighting moves or hunting techiques. He had learned a lot when listening to older and more exprienced cats and he planned to learn a lot more.
The situation they were in right now unnerved him. Seeing his mentor and even his king in such a concerned state was unnerving. He tried his hardest to keep his shoulders relaxed but his fur bristled when he took in the strange and unfamiliar scent. It left a sharp taste on his tongue and the underlying stench of blood didn't make it better. He tried to concentrate, to sharpen his senses. If there were any signs of danger, he didn't plan on missing them.
He padded over to the clawmarks in the rock and had to surpress a shudder. Whatever had left these, a cat, even several cats would stand no chance against it. "This... thing can probably kill a cat with a single blow of his paw.", he muttered, not directed at any of the older cats in particular, more to himself. He sniffed at the marks, wrinkling his nose. He knew the scent, it was a bird of prey, maybe a hawk. He was a fairly good hunter already, but catching a hawk still was a huge challenge. "It caught a hawk, too. It's fast." He turned back to his mentor, an ernest expression on his face.
