Graystar "We are not measured by our strength, but by how we use what strength we have." The gray tom eagerly followed his son into the den, excited to tell the young tom what the past leaders had told him. He curled up on his mossy nest and laid the rabbit at his paws. He was so excited, unable to hold back the news any longer, as soon as Frostsong finished speaking the leader began to blurt out what had been keeping secret.
"Though your blood may not be truly that of an heir, they have seen that you have a kind heart and strong mind. Though you may not be the strongest warrior, you have a bright future ahead. Despite all the odds, you have become a warrior of Lakeclan, as well as helping another along her path. They have seen how much you have helped my young niece and are impressed with your abilities, despite the fact you were not born into our clan. They have accepted you as my son, you are recognized as a true son of the royal family."
Graystar paused for a moment, letting his words sink in before continuing. "Despite what others may think, this is Starclan's decision. Though this needs to remain quiet until I announce it at the gathering, you cannot tell anyone." As Graystar finished speaking, he was beaming with pride. Though he was anxious to see his son's reaction.

{ "The only way to love others, is if your able to love yourself" Listening to Graystar intently, Frostsong tilted his head curiously as his father spoke. Did the former leaders really say this? Perhaps his father was just trying to reassure him? Yet it seemed Graystar was very serious and too excited for this to be just made up. Feeilngs of pride, joy, and just pure amazement bubbled in the white tom's heart as a wide smile broke through his surprised expression. Deep joyful purrs rumbling in his chest. "Really?! They really said that?! Wow! This is the best news! They really see me as your son! I couldn't be happier!" Frostsong purred as he lightly nuzzled his head against Graystar's shoulder gleefully. "As much as I really, like really really want to tell Snowy and Silvy and maybe brag to Uncle Grump, I promise I'll keep quiet. It's so exciting though. It'll be like having a official coronation as a prince." Frostsong purred happily. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Graystar "We are not measured by our strength, but by how we use what strength we have." His ears flattened and his head lowered a bit as Frostsong mentioned his uncle, though it had been accepted by Starclan, though only for a moment, Slatefrost would not be too happy about the small white tom's new position. Knowing his brother already despised his son, Graystar knew he had to keep a closer eye on the larger tom. He might try something stupid. He straightened back up and smiled at Frostsong. "I'm sure they will just as excited for you as we are." He leaned down and took another few bites of his meal, all this talking had been keeping his mouth busy while his stomach rumbled in complaint of hunger.
He straightened back up as Frostsong agreed to keep the secret. "Very true. And I'm sure many of our clan will be shocked, but supportive of you. I'm so proud my son. You have earned this."

{ "The only way to love others, is if your able to love yourself" Giving a deep purr, the frosty colored tom shined brightly as his joy continued to race faster than any rabbit or out swim any fish. Cheerfully, he bit into his meal and chewed. Delicately consuming his food as he imagined the possibilities. The clan cheering out and crying out his name, treating him like a true prince of Lakeclan. Giving him the best pickings of fish, gracing their kits with kisses from royalty. Perhaps they would be even more impressed in the fact he wasn't exactly born into it, but had earned it! By the words of Starclan themselves! Still, despite his wild imaginations, Slatefrost did irk his thoughts for a moment. The old grump would surely never accept this. Just another reason to drive the older cat crazy for having another cat in the way for the crown. Frostsong of course would love to boast such a compliment to his face. Slatefrost probably would get mad. Still, the older tom wouldn't do anything too drastic now would he? ....would he? Brushing off some darker possibilities and shaking them off, Frostsong took another bite of his food. Probably shouldn't worry too much. Looking to his father, Frostsong purred. "Thank you dad, I really appreciate hearing that. I'm glad I can be a son you can be proud of." the white tom mewed. At times, Frostsong did doubt himself, even if he wouldn't readily admit it to anyone and continued his confident approach. His apprenticeship was quite a bit of a rocky start as well. He didn't like fighting, blood made him nauseous, and he hated getting dirty. Often preferred lazing in camp and hiding from his mentor to avoid lessons or work. He didn't want to end up being directly compared to another apprentice just because they were better at something like combat or something. But thanks to Snowberry, he actually pushed passed it and he had some strengths other cats simply did not have. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Graystar ❋ Tom ❋ Lakeclan
"We are not measured by our strength, but by how we use what strength we have." Graystar twitched his tail a bit, knowing his son was probably thinking about all the extravagant things that might happen as a royal. His imagination is probably running wild with all these ideas. He kept quiet though as Frostsong thought to himself, letting the tom have his moment. Frostsong would find out soon enough what being a royal was like.
"No matter what happens, I'll always be proud of you. Despite how you act sometimes, I know you really care about others. You have a good heart, and I know you will do what you can for the clan." His mind wandered for a moment, to Snowberry. She had seemed more troubled lately, but he couldn't get her to say what was wrong. "Do you know if something happened to Snowberry? She seems more secluded than usual, she even went out of her way to avoid me a few times. Something must be wrong, but she won't speak to me." The tom's eyes narrowed, his gut wrenching at the thought of not being able to help the young cat, not only had he been her mentor, but he was also her uncle. He cared about her, knowing how frail the she-cat was.

{ "The only way to love others, is if your able to love yourself" Frostsong purred at his father's praise before taking another bite of his meal, picking the final bits of flesh from the fish bones. Ears perking at the mention of Snowberry. The white tom raised his head, running his tongue along his maw to rid of the extra taste lingering there as he tried thinking back through his interactions with nursery denmate. Mhmm he didn't recall the white she-cat ever mentioning something to him. "I don't believe she has mentioned something to me. Nor probably Silvy, since she hasn't mentioned anything either. Want me to try talking to her? Uncle Grump is probably giving her a hard time again." Frostsong mewed, giving a soft huff a the thought. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

"We are not measured by our strength, but by how we use what strength we have." "You are probably right about that, Slatefrost must be bugging her again. Though it would still be nice to know for sure. Jumping to conclusions could always lead to disaster." He let out a sigh, knowing how little Slatefrost cared for his daughter. Though the she-cat was so sensitive, it honestly could have been anyone who had hurt her feelings.
"That would be good. She is more likely to talk to you about her problems than me." His eyes narrowed a bit, saddened that the she-cat was unable to confide in him, but if anyone could get her to talk, Frostsong could. "Just let me know afterwards. If it is my brother again, we will have to have another discussion."

{ "The only way to love others, is if your able to love yourself" Nodding in agreement he stretched out his body a bit before standing, giving his father a confident grin. "Awe don't worry dad, I'll see what's wrong. And hey, don't feel too bad. It's easier to talk to cats your age who you grew up together." Frostsong chuckled, flicking his fluffy tail against the gray tom's ear. Pink nose twitching, he gave a friendly head butt to the leader's shoulder. "Love ya dad, see you soon. I'm going to go find her now." Frostsong mewed before picking up the remains of the picked clean fish and exiting. Burying the remains properly, he padded along raising his pink nose to sniff to hone in on the familiar scent of Snowberry. It was a pleasant scent. Nothing so strong but it was calming and peaceful. Hard to explain really. Padding to the warrior's den to see if she was there, and if not, perhaps he could track her down starting there. "Snowy?" The white tom called. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

"We are not measured by our strength, but by how we use what strength we have." "Love you too, son." The tom let out a soft purr as he watched his son walk off. At least he had Frostsong to rely on. His brother may cause trouble for him down the road. Ashstar had said that he could not trust Slatefrost, though he gave no explanation as to why. Graystar would just have to be careful with his elder brother. He remained in his den, thinking about what the clan needed to prosper while finishing his meal. | Snowberry ❅

A white figure would be curled up in the bed of moss that belonged to the snowy white she-cat. Normally she was up early in the morning, but today she was still laying down, not asleep, just lying there silently. Pawsteps could be heard as Frostsong approached, though the she-cat dared not look to who was nearing the den. Her father and sister had gone out on a patrol, which she asked to join but her father refused, saying she would only slow them down. She really did not want to see him right now. She lifted her head as Frostsong called out the nickname he had given her. So it wasn't her father, she thought with a sigh of relief.
The white she-cat stood to her small paws and walked daintily to the entrance of the warrior's den where the white tom stood. "Good morning Frosty!" She said with a purr, seeing him always lifted her spirits.

Frostsong "The only way to love others, is if your able to love yourself" Ears perking as his icy blue eyes spotted the she-cat, he gave a soft purr as Snowberry daintily approached him. Least she seemed okay enough to talk to him. Though she was just hanging around the warriors den later than usual. Already a odd sign. Still, he was here to find out what was the matter.
"Good morning! It's a beautiful newleaf day, sun's already warming up. So how about we take a little walk together? It's good to stretch our legs and enjoy the sunshine! Plus, maybe show off a little to some handsome toms eh?" Frostsong teased casually as he gently bumped his shoulder against hers before slipping out of the den. Flicking his tail encouragingly to the shyer white warrior.
Probably best not to immediately demand what was exactly wrong and pick a more quiet place to chat. Snowberry tended to be a bit... nervous at times if one didn't play their actions right. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

The white she-cat purred softly in response to the tom's words. "That sounds like a wonderful idea." Though as he mentioned showing off in front of toms, she dipped her head, obviously showing embarrassment at the thought of toms looking at her. "Ah, you can show off Frosty, I'll just walk beside you." She said in a soft squeaky voice. Her voice always got squeaky when she felt nervous. And a previous conversation had made her extra uncomfortable about the topic of toms today.
She padded with soft steps out of the den, looking at Frostsong. "Any place in particular you wanted to walk to?" She mewed, changing the subject as quickly as she could.

Frostsong "The only way to truly love others, is if your able to truly love yourself" Frostsong purred in amusement at Snowberry's reluctance. Truly, they were quite opposites in some regards. Still, he wasn't particularly sure how'd he react if Snowberry found some tom. She at times... could be a bit sensitive so he'd worry over her for sure. Still, she seemed a bit nervous at the little joke, perhaps it's just her shy nature however.
"How about a trip to Pine Hollow? There is a couple of flowers there that I like." The white tom suggested. Silently thinking that it was also a nice quiet place for them to converse as well. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

"That sounds lovely! Let's go." She said with a soft purr. She rather liked to visit the hollow, as long as she was not alone. She began walking swiftly on her small paws, wanting to avoid any attention from any cats who might notice her in the camp. She reached the camp's exit without catching many glances and padded down the small stretch of land that connected the camp to the rest of the territory.
She stopped as she reached the edge of the peninsula, not wanting to lead the way to the hollow, she felt much more comfortable following someone. She turned around and waited for Frostsong to take the lead.

Frostsong ❆ Tom ❆ Warrior "The only way to truly love others, is if your able to truly love yourself" The frosty colored tom purred cheerfully, happily padding along and soon enough catching Snowberry and moving passed her as they reached the end of the peninsula. Flicking his fluffy tail gingerly against her shoulder as he passed and headed straight toward Pine Hollow. His steps confident and elegant as he gracefully strode through the territory. It still filled him with the utmost glee to know that Starclan had considered him a true prince of Lakeclan. It was so exciting! He wished he could give the news to Snowberry, but a promise was a promise. Royalty shouldn't back out on their word after all. Plus, it would be a big surprise for everyone at the gathering. He couldn't wait!
As they walked, Frostsong's ears twitched as the peaceful land seemed quiet today. Which was nice, no invading cats or savage predators running amok. He wasn't quite sure what the two of them would do in that situation. They'd probably have to flee, but still, he wouldn't let anything hurt Snowberry. He'd just have to be creative.
Soon enough, the smell of strong pine entered his nose and the towering pine trees of the hollow could be seen. With a grin he trotted a little faster as he brushed passed the wall of pine trees to enter the enclosed area. The scent of sweet newly blooming flowers entering his nose and he gave a purr.
"I always liked this place. Nice and quiet, and peaceful. Good place to just relax." Frostsong mewed with a cheer, taking a seat by some flowers near the middle of the area. After a couple of moments of letting the she-cat get a bit more comfortable, he decided to gently question her.
"Hey Snowy, I wanted to ask how are you lately? Anything happen as of late?" Frostsong asked, his voice clear, but gentle as he gave a soft smile when he turned his icy gaze toward her. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

The she-cat silently followed Frostsong. She was quiet, nothing unusual. But it was obvious something was weighing on her mind. She lifted her head as the strong smell of pine overwhelmed her. She hadn't been paying attention to where they were headed and it took her a moment to adjust to the scent. After a short moment she relaxed again. This was a nice place, very calm and quiet. She liked coming here, though never by herself. She never liked being alone, always afraid of what could happen if she were caught out here alone by something unknown.
She padded over to Frostsong, sitting beside him near the flowers. Newleaf always made this place look so lovely. Though it looked lovely in all the seasons, her favorites would have to be leafbare and newleaf. Despite what others may think, she actually enjoyed leafbare. She thought the snow was beautiful and delicate. Though the flowers were pretty as well. Her mind snapped back as Frostsong began to speak, the questions making her a bit nervous. Had Frosty heard about it?
"Um, nothing in particular. My father has been his normal self, as usual. Graystar seems busy, I hope he's doing alright. I happened to notice a few toms glancing my way again...though I wasn't really sure if they were looking at me or not. You know how uncomfortable it makes me feel when that happens." She stopped for a moment. Any cat who knew her, knew she was always nervous around toms, especially ones she didn't know. What her father said had put her even more on edge lately. "Silvy took me fishing though! She's not the best at it, neither am I...but we had a good time. It has been a while since the two of us had some quality time, it was nice." The she-cat said with a smile. Despite not being good at many things, she still enjoyed doing things with with her sister. Though they are very different, they get along fairly well. Well...when Slatefrost isn't keeping Silvermist busy. She let out a sigh, thinking about how her father seemed to try to get between the two sisters.
